A - The Leadership

KL Hassen co-founded Organic Home, LLC in 2006. In addition to running Organic Home, Hassen is a published poet and multimedia artist, incorporating photography, art, music, text and video for 'real' and virtual projects. In her current role as a professional organizer, speaker, owner of Organic Home, LLC and a Board Member for the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia, her goal is to empower people and communities to improve their quality of living via physical, economic, environmental and emotional sustainability. Hassen lived in the Midwest and on the West Coast before moving to the Philadelphia area in 1997. Prior to forming Organic Home, she raised a son while working as a professional organizer, art framer, personal assistant, property manager, waiter and barista.

B - The Organization/Company

About Organic Home LLC: Organic Home LLC is a local, independent company interested in a triple bottom line - dedicated as much to people and planet as to profit. Co-founders KL Hassen and Heather Saker conceived of the idea in the fall of 2005. "We most wanted a consultation business that would utilize our interests and combined experience of wellness, organizing and sustainability with an emphasis on helping others become self-empowered," says Hassen.

In order to remain a viable business, they focused on a residential cleaning service as a means to introduce green living to the public, as well as provide a tangible service improving the lives of their clients. Since they began in 2006, they've seen consistent growth and, even better, are continually encouraged by clients and the public to maintain their philosophy and efforts in sustainability.

The Mission: Hassen and Saker offer a unique service providing green cleaning, organizing, design and consultation for home or office. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for their clients and the greater community.
