Devon, Pa.- based GREENandSAVE was featured on Friday in the Philadelphia Business Journal for its Eco Academy , a training program to prepare individuals for a new career conducting home energy audits.

Charlie Szoradi, president and founder of GREENandSAVE.com, a free home remodeling resource, invited the Journal to sit in on one of its two-day courses that were launched in January 2009. Szoradi is the chief instructor of the Academy’s courses, passing on 20 years of green consulting expertise and the belief that as a large portion of energy consumption stems from buildings, every homeowner can make a difference.

As the notes, the Academy provides graduates with realistic job opportunities in an economic downturn and flexible schedules. The training provides future consultants with tools to collect data from home visits and turn those results into savings and return on investments for homeowners.

Courses are being held in June and July. Visit the Eco Academy for more information on green jobs
