Stuck on glue spills, leftover labels, and adhesive residues? These sticky messes are the most stubborn of us and the hardest to remove without damaging what lies beneath. Here are our suggestions for unsticking the goo!

  1. For sticky labels - Soak a sponge or cloth with warm vinegar and place over label. Once the label is fully saturated it should peel off easily leaving no gummy residue in its wake.

  2. For Glue Spills - First mix an all-natural eco-friendly detergent such as Planet Inc’s 100% biodegradable www.planetinc.com/products.htm laundry detergent with warm water and blot the affected area. Then use household ammonia and blot again. Now back to the original water-down detergent..blot. And finally, wet a sponge with fresh water and blot one last time. That should do it!

  3. For Adhesive Residue - First try hardening the substance with ice and chipping off. If that doesn’t work go to the other extreme and soak in warm water. If that does not work try a solution of warm water and either liquid dish washing detergent, vinegar, or ammonia. Always blot so not to pull or fray fabric. If none of the above work, go heavy-duty, environment-easy.
