The Northeast Green Building & Design Show is being held October 8-9 at the Raritan Expo Center in Edison, N.J., hosted by Go Green Expo, the nation's premier environmentally-focused business and consumer show.
The event will feature the latest goods, services, technology and information in sustainable architecture, construction and design. Go Green Expo partnered with the New Jersey Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council to promote green building, energy efficiency, tax cuts and green jobs to the area.
The show will emphasize energy conservation, recycling, business and electronics and will provide information on sustainable flooring, recycled materials, solar panels and windows. Building professionals, remodelers, and those interested sustainable design will learn about the latest products and initiatives from leaders in green building, local politicians and community organizations.
The Building & Design Show is open to industry professionals on Thursday October 8 and to all on Friday October 9. Tickets are $10 in advance for both days or $20 at the door.
The Northeast show enlisted Brighter Planet to calculate the event's electricity usage, on-site fuel use, staff travel, event vehicles, waste disposal and attendee travel, and then offset their carbon emissions for a completely carbon neutral show.
Go Green Expo has held conventions in New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Los Angeles and will be holding a Go Green Expo in Minneapolis in November. The Go Green Expo National Tour is committed to greening its event with support from Metropolitan Exposition Services and Printing Responsibly by using 100% compostable and biodegradable table top coverings, recycled material booth ID signs, biodegradable banner material, soy and water based inks and a waste management program that takes environmental and social ramifications into account by utilizing local donation programs.
