Bipolar Ionization Case Study Highlights

Our GREENandSAVE Team is pleased to share CASE STUDIES with our readers.

If you have case studies for your business, that are relative to sustaining life for humans or sustainability overall, please Contact Us so that we can review and post them or link to your CASE STUDY online resource.

This information from Purge Virus about Bipolar Ionization Case Study Highlights is particularly timely given that COVID-19 rages on with the variants. Since COVID-19 is a respiratory disease, cleaning the AIR is a logical part of the solution. As well, saving money on operating costs is also important for sustaining the U.S. economy. See this added link for Bipolar Ionization HVAC Energy Savings, which includes more than one Purge Virus bipolar ionization case study, specifically referencing energy savings.

HVAC Energy Savings with Advanced Disinfection

The status quo is the major hurdle to a paradigm shift in how we maximize energy savings for HVAC systems in homes and commercial/industrial buildings. Indoor air quality procedures (IAQP) are complicated, and have requirements per the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Standard 62.1-2019 .

Ultraviolet light devices can clean the air and the fan coils, when placed correctly, in HVAC ducts. The percentage of energy savings may range from 5% to 15% relative to total HVAC operating cost reduction, but it is lower for many facilities that have advanced filtration or regular coil cleaning maintenance service. Bipolar Ionization (BPI) disinfection technology has the potential to save over 30% on HVAC energy costs. Ionization and measuring indoor air quality levels are readily available but require some expertise to do it right. Learn more about Bipolar Ionization.
