Salazar Packaging, an MBE packaging company specializing in sustainable packaging, has added Eco Flex Molded Pulp to its line of products. Eco Flex's unique waffled design allows it to bend and snap into a variety of forms for cushioning, corner protection, wrapping, void fill, and end capping.
Eco Flex Molded Pulp is available in 13.5" x 11.5" x .75"sheets, with 16 sheets per case. It is available for immediate shipment at the Globe Guard® e-store. Unlike other molded packaging products, Eco Flex requires no molds or dies, making it affordable for small volume users. Manufactured from recycled newspaper, Eco Flex is a 100% post consumer waste (PCW) material and is reusable, recyclable, biodegradable, and compostable. Although flexible and easily shaped or separated into smaller pieces, Eco Flex is strong enough to replace less eco friendly packaging products including rigid and flexible polyethylene foams, bubble wrap, and polystyrene peanuts.
Salazar Packaging, Inc. extensively fielded tested and selectively sold Eco Flex before adding it to its lineup of eco friendly Globe Guard packaging products. The material proved to be a strong performer across a wide array of packaging applications. "Eco Flex is perfect for our Globe Guard line because of its composition, flexibility and performance."
Eco Flex makes the ideal top and bottom cushioning product for heavy and/or fragile products including candles, jars and bottles. It can easily be bent around a cylindrical product shipping individually such as a bottle of wine, olive oil, or any high value, fragile product. It can be cut and formed into a corner cap or edge cap to protect vulnerable surfaces that are likely to be damaged in shipment. When separated into individual pieces, Eco Flex makes an ideal loose fill for heavy or glass items.
