This collection of five Holiday Smencils includes the following yuletide scents: Sugar Cookie, Candy Cane, Gingerbread, Cinnamon, and Sugar Plum. Smencils gourmet scented pencils are made from 100% recycled newspapers that are tightly wrapped around #2 graphite cores. Once a typical pencil thickness is formed, the entire pencil is hardened and then soaked in a non-toxic liquid fragrance.
Because the entire Smencil is dipped in fragrance, even their pencil shavings smell great. After they’ve dried, each Smencil is capped with a biodegradable eraser and is packaged in an environmentally friendly corn based plastic “freshness tube” that helps maintain the Smencil’s scent for up to two years.
Both the individual plastic tubes and the ferrules (the metal doodad that holds the eraser in place) are recyclable. Smencils write, erase, and can be sharpened just like any other #2 pencil, so kids can use them on their schoolwork and standardized tests.
